Club Birthday Ride

On Friday 12th July John Hayter will lead a ride from Waitrose Christchurch at 6:30pm via a circuitous route to The Woolpack, Sopley. This is the exact date that the first ever Christchurch Bicycle Club ride took place in 1876, when five ‘high wheelers’ undertook the ride to the Woolpack where they ‘took refreshment’. Hence for this ride we ask you to bring your oldest bike. There will be a free drink available to all riders on arrival, courtesy of the committee.
